Trigger
Choose the app that you want to use as a trigger for your zap. In this article, I'm going to use a Google Sheet that's constantly updated with new email contacts that I'd like to send to FunnelBuild3r.
I chose New or Updated Spreadsheet Row as the trigger. Click Save + Continue.
You will be brought to a login screen or if you've previously connected your google drive account to Zapier, you would be able to choose that account on the list. Click Continue.
Choose the Spreadsheet and fill out the details accordingly. In the Trigger Column option, I chose any_column because I want to trigger the zap every time there are changes in any of the columns in the spreadsheet.
Choose any row when prompted to pick a sample to set up your zap. Click Continue.
It's time to set up your Action for this trigger.
Action
Since we want to send the info from our spreadsheet to FunnelBuild3r, search for Webhooks by Zapier as our action app.
Select POST on the next step and then click Continue.
Now the next step is the most important part. In this step, you need to setup the action via POST. You can leave the rest of the options on default except for URL and Payload Type.
In order to obtain the URL, you have to go back to your funnel automation and add a Zapier Listener benchmark.
The link in the benchmark is what goes into the URL field in the Zapier setup. For the Payload Type, choose Json. Click Continue. In the next step, we'll have to test the POST action of our zap.
However, on the first testing, expect to see this error as we haven't mapped our fields on our automation yet.
Go back to your automation (make sure to refresh first) and on the Zapier Listener benchmark, you will see that when we sent our first test, the benchmark received requests from Zapier.
Click on the MAP API FIELDS button so that we can now map the columns on our spreadsheet to the contact fields in FunnelBuild3r. Map the fields according to your spreadsheet and click Close. Make sure to click Update on the whole automation.
Go back to your Zapier window and click Re-send Test to Webhooks by Zapier. The test will now be successful.
Click Finish to complete your zap setup and turn your zap on.
